Message from the unit director
The Faculty of Art Education obtained institutional accreditation in April 2024, which is an official recognition from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education of the faculty's quality and its ability to achieve its educational goals, meet the accreditation requirements, and provide the necessary infrastructure, administrative support, and resources to fulfill its mission. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted on academic programs, faculty members, students, quality systems, interviews with labor market representatives and graduates, and a review of improvement and enhancement plans for the development of the faculty.
The unit seeks to foster a culture of quality and extend support to designated groups, including academic and administrative leaders, faculty members and their assistants, administrative staff, faculty students, graduates, and pertinent stakeholders, via specialized committees established within the unit. The initiative aims to strengthen trust in the faculty's educational outcomes within the local and national community. It involves communication with the university's Quality Assurance Center to remain informed about advancements in quality assurance and accreditation systems. Additionally, it includes monitoring the application of quality assurance systems and accreditation standards by the faculty's academic departments and administrations to enhance the educational process, as well as supporting student activities and artistic participation, thereby contributing to the satisfaction of students and the job market in the community.
The unit facilitates the development of internal academic and administrative systems to align with academic requirements and standards. The institution facilitates scientific research while addressing the needs and challenges of local and national communities. It oversees the preparation of periodic reports in accordance with accreditation standards and engages in continuous self-evaluation of its performance across education, research, and community service. Additionally, it prepares self-studies and annual reports, proposes improvement plans, and assesses the overall performance of all targeted groups. The institution is also advancing electronic administration and enhancing areas of excellence to optimize the use of information resources.
In this context, the unit fosters excellence and competitiveness across all faculty specializations by implementing mechanisms that ensure the effectiveness and continuity of internal review systems. This approach aims to build trust within the community and the job market regarding the faculty's educational outcomes. It strengthens the relationship between the faculty and the community to enhance the services offered. Additionally, the unit supports a comprehensive database that includes faculty members, administrative staff, students, faculty programs, degrees awarded, program and course descriptions, and the identification of beneficiaries of the faculty's graduates and their requirements. This database serves as a foundation for informed decision-making and supports continuous improvement processes.
