The department’s vision

The Department of Drawing and Painting aims to cultivate a generation of creative and distinguished artists who can contribute to the cultural and artistic advancement of society by fostering innovation and creativity in the domains of drawing, photography, and media arts. They possess the experience, competence, skill, and ability to achieve local, regional, and international standards in the visual and media arts. They also conduct research, employ emerging technologies, and conduct creative studies in interdisciplinary fields that serve the environment and society. The department’s mission

The mission of the Department of Drawing and Painting is defined as providing high-quality education that enhances the creative and technical skills of students with disabilities and those without disabilities. It encourages scientific research in the visual and interdisciplinary arts and artistic experimentation and prepares them to keep pace with global developments in drawing and photography while preserving cultural identity. It also enhances the knowledge and skills of students and researchers in the visual arts, enabling them to compete in the local, regional, and international labor markets within a framework of ethical commitment. The department’s philosophy

The Department of Drawing and Painting is one of the departments of the Faculty of Art Education. It aims to promote creative industries and studies for students and researchers through highly qualified and experienced professors who strive to achieve the goals of the 2030 National Plan for Sustainable Development. The department also seeks to prepare student researchers in studies related to interdisciplinary creative fields and the needs of people with disabilities, enabling them to understand their importance in society. The department also aims to keep pace with scientific and technological progress by developing plans and offering curricula that align with the rapid advancements in technology within the creative fields of modern media. The department's professors also strive to foster the creative personality of their students by taking into account individual differences and diversifying advanced teaching strategies. Courses vary according to diverse sources of inspiration, such as nature, cultural heritage, the environment, literary content, children's drawings, technological developments, multimedia, emerging technologies, recycling of materials, and the use of ideas, sciences, studies, and creative industries in producing visual arts. The program enables students to become creative artists capable of creative participation and aligned with the requirements of the labor market.
